• A clear diagnosis and explanation
• Specific exercises (not generic handouts)
• Practical strategies for day-to-day control and confidence
• A progressive return-to-exercise or return-to-running plan (if relevant)

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy (North Sydney)

Pelvic floor physiotherapy can help improve strength, coordination and control — especially for leakage, heaviness, prolapse symptoms, or discomfort. Treatment often includes pelvic floor retraining, breathing strategies, load management, and strength programming that fits your training and life stage.

Pregnancy Physiotherapy & Pelvic Girdle Pain

Pregnancy changes your posture, joint load, and pelvic mechanics. We support pregnancy-related back pain, pelvic girdle pain, and training modifications so you can stay active safely. We also provide preparation strategies for birth and early postnatal recovery.

Postnatal Physiotherapy & Return to Exercise

Whether you’ve had a vaginal birth or caesarean, postnatal recovery deserves a structured plan. We assess pelvic floor function, core strength, abdominal separation, and movement mechanics, then guide a gradual return to Pilates, gym training, running, and sport — without setbacks.

Women's Health Physio FAQ

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to see a Women’s Health Physiotherapist. If you’re seeing a specialist or GP, we can collaborate with them if you’d like.

Is an internal assessment required?

No. It’s optional and only recommended if it’s clinically relevant. Everything is explained first, and consent is always required.

When can I start postnatal physio?

Many people begin with guidance in the early weeks (including caesarean recovery support), then progress into more structured rehab and return-to-exercise planning around the 6–12 week period depending on your symptoms and goals.

Can you help if I leak when I run or jump?

Yes. Leakage during impact activities is common and very treatable. We assess strength, timing, breathing and load tolerance, and build a plan so your body can handle running, jumping and training with confidence.

Do you treat pelvic pain and endometriosis-related pain?

We can support pelvic pain management with evidence-based physiotherapy as part of a broader care plan, including education, movement strategies, and symptom-guided strengthening. If needed, we can help coordinate care with your GP or specialist.
